Sure, it's stupid, petty, and childish, but Diluc is too competitive to let it slide. His solution? Ask Kaeya to fake-propose to him in the middle of the wedding.There's only one problem though: Diluc is starting to catch feelings, and that was never part of the plan.

It's been twelve years since the Judge killed Diluc's wife, but time doesn't mend every wound -- especially those left by a serial killer that never got caught.But when the Judge reappears to finish his work, Diluc might finally have a chance to stop him before it's too late. Whoever comes out a victor will be his spouse, and he has no say in it.However, as the Trials start, Kaeya notices a familiar face -- an old friend who promised, when they were but children, that he would compete and win his hand.____________________________

As far as he knows, he woke up one day in a real life video game, controlled by a chip in his nape, with only one goal: to survive.It's been four years since then, and yet no one has managed to complete the game. Players are stuck on an island where it's either kill or be killed, and Diluc, especially, has a tally to his username "Noctua". Some say he's a cold-blooded killer; others see in him the vigilante they so desperately need, as he is the one person who will protect "NPCs", people who woke up in the game without a chip, and so, without any chance of getting out.Kaeya, a talented hacker who's been observing him for a while, has every intention to find out which one it is.____________________________

She can't afford him discovering her plans or, worse, her identity.____________________________

Maybe Diluc could give her the love and happiness she's been lacking -- but oh so deserves -- right?But despite her husband's tacit approval -- and his own romantic affairs -- Kaeya can't be with Diluc in public for fear of ruining her family's reputation. Since her marriage was political, she can't afford to lose face -- not when this isn't her first warning. She doesn't want her father to treat Diluc like he treated her first love -- depriving him of any job opportunity, until he had to leave the country to live.Ensues a war between Diluc's reason and her heart, as she grows tired of hiding her relationship with the one woman who makes all of this worthwhile.____________________________

After Crepus took him in, saving him from a child trafficking ring, Kaeya remained mute for months, fearful of adults, and had nightmares every night that woke him in cold sweat. His only solace was Diluc, whose unparalleled warmth made everything better.Years later, that warmth is long since gone. Crepus died by the hand of the man who abused Kaeya, and in return, Diluc killed him and earned a seat at the Council's table, a group of organized criminals that lead the local Mafia.He's sworn to take it down from the inside, with Kaeya, now a grown and capable man, as his right arm and bodyguard.But some of the things Diluc has seen -- the people he's saved under cover, the trauma they went through -- have left scars he cannot mend.One night, after breaking out a group of women kidnapped by sex traffickers, he reaches his limit and breaks down.Thankfully, Kaeya has his back.

> How did you define your fic prices?I take into account an estimation of the time needed to brainstorm, research, and outline the story (this is why my WIPs and treasure trove are discounted!), a rough hourly rate based on the market, and the cost of the cookies I'll splurge on while writing (jk)


>The AU I want is not listed in your DOs. Can I still ask for it?Of course! The list of genres/AUs I'm familiar with is just an indication. I'm open to a lot of genres/AUs, just ask and we can talk about it.


>Do you take commissions about Cradle of Storms?No. However, I take them for Sunny Spell, its counterpart fic, where you can ask for a specific fun scene.
